Steve and Ushani have written a short book that provides the reader a great deal of information in a very reader friendly and short format. The focus of the book is on the language learner or the language learner teacher helping their students to build foundational skills and then transitioning to strategies that will lead to language mastery. We can greatly increase the likelihood that both school based language learners and adult language learners will be successful. The book does not go into depth in theory, but instead provides practical steps. The book does provide the reader multiple references to areas in which they can dive deeper if the interest exists regarding theoretical topics.
